Outfits one player
Covers a game jersey and shooting shirt so every athlete takes the floor in full team uniform.
Whether you want your own athlete on a roster, a jersey with your business on it, an evening a week of your time or simply to give — every one of these directly keeps young people in this program.
Four straightforward steps. No online payment portal, no pressure — just a conversation and an evaluation.
Send a message or call us with your athlete's age, grade and experience. There is no form fee and no obligation at this stage.
We'll invite you to the next tryout or open session. Athletes arriving mid-season are welcome — we place them wherever there is room.
AAU membership, medical release and the academic pledge, signed by athlete and guardian. We walk every family through it.
We review participation costs openly and discuss need-based assistance if you need it. No family is turned away without that conversation.
We are a small, volunteer-led organization. Gifts go straight into the costs that keep athletes playing — not overhead. Here is exactly what a contribution covers.

Abilene Hope Ballers 4 Life is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, EIN 82-4572190. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. A written acknowledgment is provided for every gift, and our IRS determination letter is available to donors on request.
Local sponsors are the reason our fees stay low and our need-based assistance fund exists. In return you get real visibility across the Big Country — and a straight account of exactly what your support paid for.
$250
A great fit for individuals and small local businesses who want to help a team get on the road.
$1,000

$2,500+

Gym time, hotel rooms, printing, meals for a tournament weekend, transportation — practical contributions stretch just as far as cash. Tell us what you can offer and we’ll find a use for it.
Nobody here is paid to coach. If you have a few hours, a skill or just reliability, there is a role for you — and you do not need to have played basketball to fill most of them.
2–4 hours per week, in season
Support practice planning and run skill stations. Basketball experience helps, but reliability and patience matter more. Background screening required.
Flexible, per tournament
Coordinate schedules, snacks, hotel blocks and check-in logistics so coaches can focus on coaching during travel weekends.
Weekend events
Help get athletes to regional tournaments safely. Valid license, insurance and a completed screening are required for anyone transporting players.
A few hours, a few times a year
Set up, register participants and run stations at our free community clinics, open gym nights and service projects around Abilene.
Per event
Capture game and clinic photos we can share with families and sponsors, with signed media permission on file for every athlete pictured.
Ongoing, remote-friendly
Help identify local sponsors, prepare partnership materials and steward the businesses that fund uniforms, gym time and travel.
Anyone working directly with athletes completes a background check and abuse-prevention training before their first practice, consistent with AAU membership requirements. We will walk you through the process — it usually takes under a week.
We measure this program by access, accountability and the things our athletes do when nobody is keeping score. Here is where the work goes.
1 in 3
players receive fee assistance
Travel basketball is expensive. We keep participation costs low and offer need-based assistance so a family's budget never decides whether a child gets to play.
2×
grade checks per season
Every athlete signs an academic commitment. We run grade checks throughout the season and pair struggling students with study support before travel eligibility is granted.
40%
of families are military-connected
Serving the Dyess AFB community means welcoming families mid-PCS. Rolling enrollment, flexible tryouts and quick onboarding keep transitioning kids connected to a team.
6+
community service events a year
Teams serve the community that supports them — youth clinics, food drives, park clean-ups and free skills days open to any child in the Big Country.
Send one message and we'll take it from there — registration questions, a sponsorship packet, volunteer screening or a conversation about giving.
